Choosing The Right Clothes
People often make certain assumption about you based on the clothes you are wearing. It’s vital for your visual assumption to be in tune with who you really are. And when what you wear is you, you do feel good in the clothes you are wearing.
Clothes that are compatible with your personality will make you feel comfortable, and will seem to be a part of you rather than the clothes wearing you. Go for clothes that make you noticed. Don’t go for clothes that steal all the show from you. Some outfits will feel wonderful when you put them on; some won’t. Choose the wonderful ones. Experiment until you find them, and stick with them as long as possible.
A look at fashion magazines can help in your choice of clothing. See what looks are offered for the season and choose what’s missing in and know them well. You should know what you want to accentuate. Take all your assets into account – know what goes for you and against you. Take a real hard look in the mirror and pick clothes that play up your best points.
A good colour combination is necessary for a fashionable look. Mix clothes that go nicely together, and preferably in interesting colours that combine with different outfits. Study the way your favourite designers put colours together.
Have confidence in your sense of style and don’t try to please your friends. Style is something you develop by carefully studying yourself in a look or costume and perfecting the way you look. Analyze yourself. Watch for reactions of others; constantly perfect the small points. Study each time you wear something to see how you feel in it. Don’t shop in groups or with your boyfriend. Buy only what you absolutely love. Don’t buy clothes for anyone else. Buy them for you.
You should have the following collections in your wardrobe; black trousers, a good skirt, the right belt or other accessory, and a good coat. All women can look good in the right pair of trousers. If a woman thinks she can’t, it’s because she has the wrong idea of what “fit” means. Fit does not necessary mean show the body. Good fit comes from clothes that will visually elongate your figure, to give you a longer and lankier look. These are the clothes you should choose.
Don’t be afraid to try something new. We must all change constantly. Clothing not only covers our body but helps us emotionally as well. Irrespective of your style, it’s adventurous to experiment with new styles and trends. But always remember to go for the right colour and proportion.
A girl who is always the same is a cliché. She should dress to show who she is. It isn’t what you wear, it’s how you wear it, is an old fashion industry proverb. There are some ways to wear your clothes that can make them look more current. Slight switches jewelry and scarves would make big difference.
